Doubles as a PECs Communication System
The learning cards can double up as a PECs system, using the sentence clip strap that's included in the kit. Perfect for non-verbal or emerging communicators — enabling visual communication and sentence building on the go.
MyGō Goes Beyond Core Subjects
While Maths and English are at the heart of MyGō, every game session naturally develops a rich set of personal and social skills. These are the capabilities that employers, universities, and life itself demand — and they're best built through play.
Critical Thinking
Every game requires decision-making: which card to play, which strategy to use, how to solve the problem. Children learn to evaluate options, weigh consequences, and think ahead — skills that transfer to every area of life.
Team Play & Collaboration
Many games are designed for pairs or small groups. Children learn to take turns, communicate ideas, negotiate rules, and celebrate each other's wins. Social skills are built naturally through play.
Speed & Processing
Timed games with sand timers build processing speed and mental agility. Children practise rapid recall of number bonds, sight words, and phonics — building fluency that makes learning feel effortless.
Focus & Attention
Short, engaging game rounds are designed for concentrated bursts of learning. This builds attention stamina naturally — especially valuable for children with ADHD who thrive in structured, time-limited activities.
Adaptability & Resilience
Games have winners and losers. Children learn to adapt strategies, handle setbacks gracefully, and try again. This builds emotional resilience and a growth mindset through real experience.
Communication & Language
From reading cards aloud to explaining strategies, every game builds spoken language skills. The sentence clip strap encourages verbal expression and narrative building in everyday settings.
Research consistently shows that children who learn through play develop stronger executive function, better self-regulation, and deeper understanding than those who rely on passive instruction alone.
The Science Behind Game-Based Learning
MyGō isn't just fun — it's built on decades of research into how children actually learn best.
Different Game, Same Learning
Research shows that practising the same skill through varied activities — rather than repetitive drills — creates stronger, more flexible neural pathways. This is called interleaved practice, and it's one of the most powerful learning strategies known to cognitive science.
With MyGō, a child might practise number bonds through a speed game one day, a strategy card game the next, and a collaborative team challenge the day after. Same skill. Different game. Deeper learning.
Monday: Speed Round
Number bonds with sand timer — builds fluency
Wednesday: Strategy Game
Same number bonds, but now as a card strategy game — builds reasoning
Friday: Team Challenge
Same number bonds in a collaborative game — builds communication
Same skill practised 3 times — 3 different ways — 3× the neural connections
Spaced Repetition
Short, repeated practice sessions over time are far more effective than long cramming sessions. MyGō's game format naturally creates 5–15 minute focused bursts — the ideal window for retention, especially for young learners and those with ADHD.
Active Recall
Games require children to actively retrieve information — not just passively read it. Every time a child plays a card, answers a challenge, or builds a sentence, they're strengthening memory through active recall, the gold standard of learning science.
Multi-Sensory Encoding
Touching cards, moving manipulatives, writing on wipe-clean boards, and speaking answers aloud — MyGō engages visual, auditory, and kinaesthetic pathways simultaneously. Multi-sensory learning creates richer, more durable memories.
Emotional Engagement
When learning feels like play, the brain releases dopamine — the same reward chemical that drives motivation. Children who enjoy learning are more likely to persist, try harder challenges, and return to practise voluntarily.
Progressive Mastery
Each game includes “level up” variations. Children start where they are and progress at their own pace. This builds confidence and prevents the frustration that comes from being pushed too fast — or held back too long.
Interleaved Practice
Rather than drilling one skill in isolation, MyGō games naturally mix skills together — maths with language, reading with strategy, writing with creativity. Research shows this “mixing” produces deeper, more transferable understanding.
“Play is the highest form of research.”
— Albert Einstein
Modern neuroscience confirms what Einstein intuited: game-based, hands-on learning creates stronger neural connections, better retention, and more confident learners than passive instruction alone.
How MyGō Works
Learning made simple. No prep, no stress, no screens.
Choose Your Activity
Start with cards, hands-on manipulatives, or themed learning packs. Each resource is colour-coded and organised by skill level — no sorting or prep needed.
Pick a Game or Challenge
Flip through the guidebook. From quick 5-minute warm-ups to 30-minute family challenges, there's always something perfect. Every game maps to KS1 & KS2 learning outcomes.
Play, Learn & Level Up
Watch your children master concepts through play. Each game has "level up" variations — so the same game grows with your child. Different game, same learning, deeper understanding.

Why I Created MyGō
Created by an educator with 16+ years of experience working with SEN learners — and a worldschooling parent of 3 who knows how difficult it can be to incorporate core learning into everyday life.

The Challenge of Learning on the Move
While worldschooling my children, I appreciated that each country had so many learning opportunities — from everyday culture exposure, to museums, to volunteering with animals. The world truly was our classroom.
However, ensuring we had sufficient maths and English embedded sometimes became difficult without resorting to the iPad.
From Family Game Nights to a Learning System
Family time in the evenings was very important to us, and after a long day of exploring, my kids weren't up for settling down with activity sheets or iPad learning.
So I started designing games we could play to spend fun time together, whilst including core learning in maths and English. I then supplemented with additional learning in our everyday lives, and before I knew it, we had the full learning outcomes for Key Stage 1 & 2 covered.
But this meant lugging around several packs of resources — and still having to adapt some things to properly fulfil the games I'd created. It was simply too much for travelling.
MyGō: Everything You Need, in One Kit
MyGō brings it all together into one complete, portable system in an easy-to-carry case. It's designed to reassure parents that this is all they need for English and maths learning on the go.
All other subjects can be learnt through everyday travelling and real-world experiences — or through the Wild Path Curriculum →
Learning in Any Environment
At home, on the go, or anywhere in between. MyGō travels with your family.

“My son is autistic and struggles with worksheets. These cards changed everything. He asks to play maths games now!”
“We travel full-time and this is the only curriculum that fits in our backpack. Compact, durable, and actually engaging.”
